Our flight planning is more advanced than any available today!
When you enter a destination, the system knows where fleet UAS’s are located, the amount of potential flight time (battery), and the onboard payload (cameras).
Once it determines which UAS to use for the mission, it checks the weather, radar, ADS-B traffic, RID traffic and then lays out the flight plan. It can route in a variety of ways which are definable by the user and can be set as a default.
With full autonomous operations (No human interaction), the AI will route the flight around/over buildings/obstacles and then runs a weather optimization.
Should it find the route will be affected by weather phenomena, it will route it, if possible, around and/or above the weather. If not, a decision made by the AI will be to not fly the mission.
It will look at weather forecasts to determine if there is a better time to fly. If so, it will schedule the flight and at that point a human will be required to approve the change.
