Our system is not only a Flight Management System (FMS), but has built-in UTM capabilities.
The FLITE Core™ Flight Management system along with P.O.O.L.™, our onboard computer and operating system, will be utilizing AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning), and ComputerVision to intelligently generate flight plans and provide complete UTM services.
Once airborne, aircraft systems, air traffic, airspace, weather, obstacles etc. are monitored in order to generate caution or emergency alarms in the event of a serious condition looming or actual.
The pilot will have a set amount of time to react, or the AI will mitigate the risk scenario without pilot intervention even if the UAS is in a lost link condition. This is true autonomy.
We have licensed multiple Patents from NASA for commercialization. A few of the patents are Detect and Avoid, Safe to Land, and Advanced Ground Collision Avoidance. We will be enhancing the software and integrating them into our FLITE Core™ and P.O.O.L.™ system.
Live video streaming from the aircraft will be viewable through the FLITE Core™ system, and any authorized user can request permission from the pilot via voice communication built into our system, to have control of the payload only. This allows the user no matter where they are located to point the camera at an area of interest. The AI and/or pilot always has control of the UAS.
